PHOTO ESSAYS
The photographs, like the impressionist painting, even as it shakes us out of habit, makes us withdraw into our selves by recalling a personal impression. It can let us into a world of infinitely renewable sensory intensities (Street Photography, Clive Scott)
This work has given me the opportunity to channel and explore an inner curiosity for the mysterious psychological aspect of the individual’s mind, and the essence of the human being, documenting what will later tell our stories, about who we are, what we want, our values, needs, emotions and behavior, as individuals, as a culture and as a society.
The personal projects shown on this website are a work in progress.
STREET CHRONICLES focuses on the great event of daily life, where the viewers based on their life experience will have different takes on the image, and find their own particular meaning. Some of these images fall into the documentary genre as they make us come to terms with the subject’s reality, and the moral pressure of its irrefutable destiny. Nevertheless, these images are part of our reality and the moral issues we strive to understand and overcome as a society. EXILIO PORTRAITS is a project that seeks to provide evidence of the intrinsic Cuban culture that despite the many years of living in exile has resist change, and survives unbroken far from even begin to fade away.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
